We've been hosting virtual conferences to help developers and publishers meet for over a year now. Our event in March saw over 950 companies participating, so we knew we were making a difference. When the pandemic struck and traditional events were being cancelled, one of the biggest concerns we heard was from individuals who wouldn't have an opportunity to attend PAX, GDC, Gamescom and other events to try to find a job in games. We realized that our existing events weren't meeting that need.
Now we're using that experience and technology to help individuals and teams meet and potentially grow together. COVID-19 has created an opportunity for companies to recruit worldwide and IndieGameBusiness together with MeetToMatch are helping to make that easier.
